by Sharlene

Hallelujah Night was an event filled with lots of candy, fun, and games. The children, youth, young adults, and even some of the parents came dressed as some of their favorite characters or just in silly costumes. The variety ranged from Captain America to Disney Princesses and even to a Mariachi band! The night started off with delicious food provided by the adults followed by a number of games put together in a carnival-theme facilitated by J-YA and J-Youth. The games were kid-friendly, but the adults seemed to have a blast by trying their hand at them at well. One game required the contestant to move an Oreo from his/her forehead into his/her mouth by only using face muscles! Another game included a large Tic-Tac-Toe board which the contestant had to throw balls into in order to make three in a row. Each player received bite-sized candy simply for trying, but the winners of each game received a much bigger sized candy bar. Hallelujah Night brought plenty of laughs and plenty of sugar, but most importantly, it brought out a smile on every child (and adult’s) face which was truly a blessing.

Good Evening Everyone – Today is the second Saturday of awesome work at the new church. I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who have been putting in their time the past two weeks. A great about of work has been completed these past two weeks. Today was finishing touch with the paint, removal of carpets, glue, tiles, linoleum, prep work for recessed lights, etc. Got to witness some really heavy labor today with removal of carpet and glue on the floor. Things are beginning to shape up.

Again, thank you for all those who came and put in the hard work! Thank you as well for those who have been providing food making sure our workers does not go hungry.

This week is going to be placing of entry tiles and carpet in all the classrooms and offices. I look forward to the finished product of everyone’s hard work. It is such a joy to witness God’s people working in unity and harmony!

Oh and yes, I have a scheduled meeting again with the city of Milpitas at 10:30 AM this Monday. Please continue to pray for God’s favor upon His church.

Blessings,
